Why Donkey Kong Differs From Pac-Man

Pac-Man is universal; Donkey Kong is for the competitive crowd
Donkey Kong rewards practice — the high-score is genuinely difficult to reach
Tournament events at Donkey Kong cabinets consistently produce sustained engagement (90+ minutes)
The Mario lineage adds historical weight — tech audiences recognize the cabinet’s place in gaming history

“Donkey Kong is the cabinet we recommend for events with a guest list that skews toward people who actually played these games in arcades. Pac-Man is the universal pick; Donkey Kong is the pick for the audience that will appreciate the difficulty and the heritage.”

— Jeff Durocher, President & CEO, U.S. Poker & Casino Parties
